LIMI FEU

Born in 1974 by the famous fashion designer Yohji Yamamoto, it was not surprisingly then Limi Yamamoto chose a creative path and took up fashion studies at Bunka Fashion College. After working 2 years as a patternmaker for Y’s, She started her very own label named Y’s bis LIMI in year of 1999 and presented her first 2000 autumn/winter collection in Tokyo. In 2002, the brand was renamed as LIMI feu and with a huge success, Limi further expanded her fashion territory to Paris and debuted her 2008 spring/summer collection there obtaining praises immediately. In 2008, Limi was awarded as the designer of the year by 51st Fashion Editors’ Club of Japan.

Limi Yamamoto’s clothes stress the importance of chemistry between the garment and the person wearing it. Without paying attention to fads or trends, Limi produces what she wants. She wants her clothes to serve as a catalyst that brings out the wearer’s lifestyle and ideas, thus enchanting the surrounding atmosphere of the individual. LIMI feu clothing does not aim to reach everyone and she does not focus on superficial beauty. Limi creates clothing to suit women with an intensity that comes from within.
